Employment update

FEBRUARY 2012

Our monthly Employment Update brings you a mixture of employment law news, cases of interest and recent articles from our website.

This month has seen new tribunal compensation limits coming into force and two important Government announcements - one on who will be affected by the increase in the unfair dismissal qualifying period and one on immigration.   We also look ahead to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and consider whether employees are entitled to paid leave on the additional bank holiday.

We have produced two new guides this month to help you keep track of employment law changes and you can find details of these below.

Finally, you can now follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with the very latest employment law and business immigration news.

Please feel free to pass this Update on to anyone else you know who is interested in employment law matters.  They can also subscribe to receive their own copy on any page on our website.
